Robert was a member of the Stump Bluff Militia where enjoyed clothing and historical reenactments from the 18th century. He also enjoyed camping, woodworking, fishing on the lake and hunting deer, rabbit and squirrel.
Surviving Robert are his mother; wife, Thelma; daughters, Tracy Sue Nelson and Danyeil June Dunlap; and sister, Sandra Lynn Miller.
He is preceded in death by his father; son, Joseph Lee Wilson; brother, John Anthony Wilson; and a sister, Linda Wilson.
