Florence Roberta "Nana" Lainhart, 87, of Richmond passed away to her heavenly home

unexpectedly on Monday, August 18, 2025. Roberta was born to the late Charlie and

Pearl Day Thacker in Richmond, KY on February 17, 1938.

Roberta was the widow of Rev. Levi Lainhart. They had been married for 62 years. She

served alongside him throughout their 60 plus years of ministry in the Church of God,

Cleveland, TN where she served many years on the Kentucky Church of God Women's

Ministries Board. Roberta was the mother to their 5 children, and Nana to their 10

grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Her kindness, hospitality, warm smile, and

words of encouragement blessed not only her family but generations of those who

considered her Nana. She was a prayer warrior with unwavering faith leading souls to

Christ until she was called home. She will be deeply missed but her faith and love will

live on in all who knew her. "A woman who walks with God will always reach her destination."

Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Levi Lainhart; parents, Charlie

and Pearl Thacker; four brothers: Elvin Thacker, Russell Thacker, Bural Thacker, and

Charles Thacker; and one sister: Barbara Howard.

Survivors include two daughters: Regina Williams of Richmond and Yvonna (James)

Brockman of Berea; three sons: Levi Daniel (Lorie) Lainhart of Georgetown, Edwin

(Eulene) Lainhart of Bardstown, Bruce (Lynn) Lainhart of Richmond; ten grandchildren:

Tara Townsend, Greg Hundley II, Chad (Alison) Lainhart, Bruce Lainhart II, Deanna

(Rocky) Applegate, Andrew (Paige) Luxon, Marissa (Mike Golden) Williams, Eric

(Bethany) Lainhart, Brittany Lainhart, and Micah (Shannon) Lainhart; and 19 great-

grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters: Melissa Isaacs and Sue Rhodus; as

well as many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Life Church

with Pastors Chad Lainhart, Edwin Lainhart, Micah Lainhart, and Johnny Dunbar

officiating. Burial will follow at Madison County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the church.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Greg Hundley II, Eric Lainhart, Bruce Lainhart II,

Andrew Luxon, Micah Lainhart, and Rocky Applegate. Honorary pallbearers will be her

great-grandchildren: McKenzie Lainhart, Brooklyn Townsend, Ethan Hundley, Jayden

Lainhart, Talon Hundley, Isabella Tyler, Presley Kelley, Paisley Whittemore, Laila Tyler,

Kaydence Lainhart, Braxton Lainhart, Laykin Lainhart, Bo Luxon, Liliana Tyler, Lucas

Applegate, Brooklyn Huffman, Zoey Huffman, Camille Luxon, Jaxyn Lainhart, and

Michael Brandenburg.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Nana's name to the Life Church Building Fund.
