Jane Ann Vaughn, 83 of Nancy, Kentucky, passed from this life at her home on Saturday, October 4, 2025 after a brief illness.
She was born on January 20, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio, daughter of the late Glenn Lindsey and Wilma Haynes Lindsey. After her formative years, Jane went on to further her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Healthcare system. She was the widow of the late Fred Vaughn II who preceded her in death in 2010. Jane enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, cooking and spending time with her family. She was a loving, kindhearted and generous wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents, Glenn and Wilma Lindsey, she is preceded in death by a son; David Brian Vaughn, three brothers; Robert, Donald and Floyd Lindsey and a sister; Glenda McCrary.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, two children; Fred (Gail) Vaughn III of Richmond, Kentucky and Donna (Randall) Wilson of Nancy, Kentucky, two sisters; Pat Baughman of Vandalia, Ohio and Cynthia "Cindy" Morris of Burkesville, Kentucky. Her grandchildren; Justin Wilson, David Brian Vaughn, Fred Vaughn IV, Ann Marie Vaughn, Jesse Vaughn, Chasity Vaughn,, Krista Vaughn and Kaleb Vaughn, two great-grandchildren; Emma Wilson and Chloe Wilson as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date with Inurnment in the Pottershop Cemetery in Nancy, Kentucky. In lieu of Flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Jane to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, Kentucky 42503.
