Glenda Paulette Vaughn was born January 11, 1962, to the union of the late Jerome and
Rosa Vaughn in Baton Rouge, LA. She was baptized at the age of 8, by the late Rev. David
Newman, Jr. at Macedonia Baptist Church.
Glenda was educated in the East Baton Rouge School system. She was a graduate of Glen Oaks
High School Class of 1980. She furthered her education at Louisiana State University
studying Mass Communication. Paulette was employed with Piccadilly for a number of years,
She was later employed at ABC and National General Insurance Agency where she served the
community as an insurance agent for over 35 years. She was very passionate about helping her
customers. In her younger years, Paulette enjoyed traveling the world and experiencing new
adventures.
Paulette leaves to cherish her precious memories, three loving siblings, Terry (Jackie) Parker of
Baton Rouge, Sandra Cagler, of Richmond, CA and Kaylynn Vaughn Taylor, of Baker, LA. Aunts,
Carol, Corrine and Jeanette Parker all of Baton Rouge, LA. Dorothy Vaughn, Philadelphia, PA and
Martha Vaughn, of Brooklyn, NY.
Paulette was a central figure in the lives of her nieces and nephews, Shinekita Paulette, Velanie
(Melvin) Orange, Dalatte (Glen) Jones and Cerel Taylor Jr. Juequita (Darius) Platt of Houston, TX,
DeShanna Vaughn of Baton Rouge, Terry, Ashton Parker and Aster Parker Davis all of Las Vegas,
NV., Cedrick Parker of Litchfield Park, AZ., Denise, Shameka, Fred and Jason Cagler of Richmond,
CA. Her caring heart and nurturing spirit left a permanent mark on them all.
She also leaves a legacy of love and care with her great nephews, Mikelan (Talaja) and Cerell
Quindell Taylor and a great great niece, Taliyah D. Taylor all of Baton Rouge, LA. A host of
relatives and friends.
Paulette was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, brother, Jerome Vaughn, Jr;
sister, Gwendolyn S. Vaughn Hampton; brother in laws, Kenneth Cagler and Cerel Taylor, Sr.
Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
