Wow! I am just hearing about Coach Wolfe's passing. He was a great man, mentor, and coach.
At Allegheny, he believed in me when he could have treated me like another player. He saw the leader in me before I did and made me a Captain when he already had several.
He offered me a role at Tiffin but instructed me not to take the job because the funds were too low to provide for my family.
He was tough but fair. He had a temper, but he was also a very compassionate man that loved his players like family. I thought of him often but life always gets in the way, but he was always in my thoughts.
Rest well, Coach. You've earned your rewards.

I always felt fortunate and blessed for the time I attended Trinity. It was newly co-ed. When I look back on my high school years I always have the fondest memories being part of the young chapter. When I think back on our legacy Miss Frisina was producing our new alma mater, Sister Catherine was dedicating her time and energy to forming a band, half time show, "Top 25" and show choir, and of course Bob Wolfe was our Dean of students, teacher, and head football coach. His time and dedication were monumental in what became Trinity sports. He was not only a teacher and coach but he was also a dearly loved and respected friend to coaches, teachers, students and parents. One of my fondest memories was our family vacation my senior year to Marco Island and all the adventures in Aurora, Ohio!
Heaven sure gained another angel, leaving us way too soon.
Love and prayers to and for his wonderful family left behind.

RIP coach. Thank you for the time you gave coaching me at TU. True definition of a coach and leader. Peter Zelch.
