Robert Lawrence Wood passed away on February 28, 2025 surrounded by family. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Nancy Wood, brother Jim and sister Mayvin Wood.
He is survived by his daughter Lauren (Curtis) Eigensee, grandchildren Mackenzie, Patton, and Layla and great grandson Teddy. Sister Nancy (Ralph) Rhodes, brother, John Wood; nephews Ralph Jr.(Anne), Rob, nieces Nancy, Crystal, and Rachael. Family friends Tom (Debbie) Kukla, Paul Gilliam, Carrie, Kim, and Sheree. many great nieces and nephews, many friends and fellow US Army veterans.
Robert attended Central High School before he was drafted into the US Army. He later attended Franklin University. Robert loved to spend time with his grandchildren and was very close to his sister Nancy. He enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. His favorite pastime was keeping a room smiling with his endless jokes. He would never miss a conversation about cars, and loved becoming Santa Claus which he did at Jericho’s Light club. He will be missed by many.

Robert will be laid to rest at Dayton National Cemetery.
