I loved Bobby and we were together for 5 years and planning on getting married. I took care of him in the hospital Sept 2023 day and night in Oxford hospital.
He was a loving man and loving father and of course our dogs.
He's free and flying high and one day we will be together again.

So sorry to hear of his passing. I had the pleasure of getting to know him when he worked in Oxford, MS. Such a nice guy. If he wasn't talking about fishing he was talking about his family. May he RIP and my prayers and condolences.

Bobby always had a cheerful attitude and quick smile to share with others at St Thomas.
My favorite memory of him was one summer during a massive cicada outbreak. The hospital building was covered up to the third floor in a swarm of bugs. Talk in the OR that morning was all about what people had seen and experienced. Someone mentioned a news story about a Hillsboro high school student who swallowed one live on tv to win a $5 bet.
Mike Petracek exclaimed "Five dollars!!! I wouldn't do that for less than 50 bucks!" and laughed out loud.
Without a pause, Bobby stood up from behind the pump, opened his wallet, slapped down cash on the pump and said "You're on!!!"
When the case was over, Petracek did catch a cicada and bring it back to the OR so witnesses could attest that he had taken the bet. I think Bobby made money on the deal because everyone chipped in 5 or 10 bucks just for the fun of seeing the dare fulfilled.
