Robert Thomas Wurm was born on November 14, 1934, on the family farm in rural Maple Lake to Anthony and Annie (Paumen) Wurm. Bob grew up on the very land he would nurture for decades. He attended country school in Corinna Township, where he cultivated a strong work ethic and a profound respect for the earth. For 44 years, Bob dedicated himself to L.C. Block while continuing to tend to the family farm, a testament to his commitment to both his work and family.
On September 1, 1956, Bob married the love of his life, Mary Marquette, at St. Francis Xavier Church in Buffalo. Together, they built a loving home on the family farm filled with laughter and cherished memories. Bob found immense joy in watching his children and grandchildren thrive, always cheering them on in sports and celebrating their accomplishments.
Bob enjoyed fishing, bowling, spearing, and gardening. Bob often gathered with loved ones to play horseshoes and card games, and to shake dice. He looked forward to trying his luck at the casino as well as time spent in nature cutting wood. Bob lived a life rich in hard work, family, and love, rooted deep within the fertile soil of his cherished farm in Maple Lake.
Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years, Mary of Maple Lake; children, Jennifer Kilgo, Judy (Todd) Malachek, Allan Wurm all of Maple Lake, Gordon Wurm of Annandale, and Randy (Teresa) Wurm of Monticello; daughter-in-law, Heidi of Annandale; grandchildren, Bart Jr., Nicole, Kyle, Macy, Hunter, Hailee, Jessica, Matt, Allison, Mallory, Garrett, and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Halie, Hudson, Brecken, Teddy, Ellie, and Patrick; siblings-in-law, Berneal Decker, Roger (Mary) Marquette, Jody (Ron) Rassat, and Ginny Marquette; and nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
