Robert Lee Yates

Robert Lee Yates, 94, of Christiansburg, passed away on December 31, 2023, at his home. He was a member of the Fairlawn Church of God. Bob was retired from RAAP as Maintenance Supervisor. He taught Sunday School and led the choir for many years at the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church. He touched everyone he came in contact with, and was willing to help anyone who needed it, but most of all he was a wonderful husband, father, and papaw. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Edith Graham Yates; brothers, Oliver, Clyde, Jack, Bill, and Gene Yates; sisters, Frances Pettus and Allie Martin. Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Eula Clairmont Yates; children, Vicky Moore (Mike), Ron Yates (Pat), and Jennifer Yates; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank our special caregiver, Theresa Lovern. We could not have made it without you.
Funeral services will be held privately.
