Mr. Robert Yopp, Jr. "Bobby" was born on June 30, 1952 to the late Ms. Lucille Wiggins-Murray and Robert Yopp, Sr. He entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 21, 2025 while doing what he loved most which was helping others.
Bobby served with honor and distinction in the United States Army as a metal worker and automobile service repairman. Beyond his military career, he was a loving big brother to all of his siblings and a true friend whenever he was needed. Bobby loved all good things in life such as eating good food, watching karate and western movies non-stop, and being with his brothers. He loved to listen to his old-school music such as the Chi-lites and the Stylistics. Bobby could sing and would often sing "Sadie" by the Spinners for his late mother changing the lyrics to "Sweet Lucy" on many occasions at family gatherings.
His love of GOD was undeniable as his favorite gospel group was the Mighty Clouds of Joy and he often donated to multiple charities, including the Wounded Warrior Project. Most of all, Bobby loved to work on a car, whether it was running or not. If he believed he could; he would! Bobby was a true hero who not only served his country, but also served as the backbone to his family, a cherished pillar of his community, and a protector who leaves his immeasurable legacy behind.
Bobby leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Shirley Lovely; son, Marquiste McDonald; sisters, Shirley Taylor, Velinda Sellers, Louann Wiggins-Murray (Andrew), Gail McClenton, Anita James (Charlie), Debra Wiggins (Wayne), and Pamela Wiggins; brothers, Bruce Wiggins (Diane), John Wiggins, David Wiggins (Trina), and Ronald Butler; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and countless friends.
Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ms. Lucille Wiggins-Murray and Robert Yopp, Sr.; sister, Jacqueline Wiggins; both grandparents, and numerous aunts and uncles.
Bobby will be missed by all who knew and loved him. We carry the memories in our hearts like treasures that time cannot erase. The joy you brought, the memories we shared will forever be cherished. Rest in peace, dear brother Bobby Junior.

As kids growing up in the same neighborhood "BobbyJunior" always treated everyone as an extended brother or sister. It's a true blessing that his thoughtfulness and generosity touched many throughout his life. Wayne Young

What can I say, gone to soon; this is a hard pill to swallow; I don't believe it... I do know that God makes no mistakes and I don't question God. I will never forget you, just like I will never forget our mother. Thank you for all you did for the family and allowing me to be a part of your life. I will always love you. Rest in heaven my dear brother
Missing you already, Love Velinda (Linda)

Bro. As long as I live, I will always remember and miss you. On the best brother scale of 1 to 10 , with 10 being the highest, you rates a 100. You have repaired your last vehicle. Now rest. Until we meet again. LOVE NEVER DIES.
