Robert Yopp

Robert "Bob" Yopp, 66, of Upton, KY passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025 at UofL-Jewish Hospital, Louisville, KY.
Mr. Yopp was a veteran of the United States Army. After his service, Bob found his calling as a Master HVAC technician, a role in which he excelled due to his meticulous attention to detail. Bob's hands were rarely still, for his passion for building was evident in the homes, shops, and garages he constructed with precision and care. He was the quintessential handyman, always ready with the right tool and a willing hand. Mr. Yopp was also an avid hunter and he had an keen eye for searching for arrowheads.
He was preceded in death by a son, Nick Cox; his mother, Ortrud Yopp; and a sister, Heidi Yopp.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years whom was also his high school sweetheart since 1972, Mady Yopp; four children, Micah Cox (Valerie), Angela Gibson (Chad), Henry Yopp, Lewis Yopp (Jenna); his father, Frank Yopp; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Trinity, Nathan, Hunter (Rebekah), Dylan; one sister, Susan Yopp; one brother, Thomas Yopp; and a host of extended family & friends.
A private service will be held at a later date.
