Robert Zalewski Obituary
Born on May 1, 1959, Robert was a lifelong resident of East Rutherford, where he built a life rooted in family, loyalty, and quiet strength. He was known for his deep love of the New York Yankees, faithfully cheering them on throughout his life, no matter the season.
Robert is lovingly remembered by his sister, Cecilia Gilchrist, and her husband George of Montgomery, Alabama. He is survived by his sons: Jesse, Robert Jr. and his wife Dominika, James and his wife Caitlin. He also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren: Brady, Adeline, and Avery.
He was predeceased by his parents, Paul Zalewski Sr. and Cecilia Zalewski, as well as his brothers, Peter Zalewski, Paul Zalewski Jr. and Richard Zalewski.
One of Robert's greatest joys in life was supporting his children. He never missed a game, cheering them on from the sidelines at every sporting event as they grew up. He even stepped up as coach for many years, sharing not only his time and knowledge but also his steady encouragement and pride.
Robert's sense of humor, loyalty, and quiet support made a lasting impact on those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
The family will be holding a private ceremony.
