Robert Zelenski Obituary
Robert Joseph "Joe" Zelenski, 59, of Rochester Mills, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh following an extended illness.
He was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on March 31, 1965, a son of Patricia Laura (Gray) Zelenski and the late George Mark Zelenski.
Joe grew up in the Coalport area and graduated from Glendale High School in 1983.
Mr. Zelenski served in the United States Army.
He married the former Sandra "Sandy" Lee Stewart on September 01, 1989. She survives and resides in Rochester Mills.
Joe worked as a certified electrician for Penelec for many years prior to his illness.
His hobbies were hunting, fishing and picking Ginseng. He loved the outdoors, appreciated wildlife, cooking and spending time with his pets, especially his dogs, Einstein and Snoopy. He always had a great sense of humor and made everyone laugh and smile. He was greatly loved as a husband, brother, uncle and friend. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
In addition to his wife Sandy, he is survived by his mother, Patricia Laura Hollen of Yulee, Florida; two brothers, Mark Zelenski of East Berlin, Pennsylvania and Michael Zelenski of Yulee, Florida; a special niece who was like a daughter to him, Lexi Thomas of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania; and a sister in-law, Brenda Stewart of Walston.
He is preceded in death by his father.
There will be no visitation or viewing. Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
