Robert L. Zuelsdorf, age 82, and formerly of Horicon, died Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc. He had been residing at the home of his daughter, Kathy, and his son-in-law, Dan, in Watertown since May of 1992.

Visitation for Robert will be at the Murray Funeral Home in Horicon on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at church on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bernard''s Catholic Church in Watertown on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Msgr. Daniel Ganshert will officiate. Burial will be at St. Malachy Cemetery in Horicon where the Horicon American Legion will provide military honors.

Robert Lee Zuelsdorf was born on September 15, 1928 in Horicon, Wisconsin to the late William and Martha (Freeman) Zuelsdorf. He attended school in Horicon and graduated from Horicon High School. Bob served as a sergeant in the United States Air Force and was proud to have participated in the Berlin Air Lift. On February 3, 1950, he was united in marriage with Joan Sheppard. Bob worked in construction and went to various trade schools to learn the heating and air conditioning trade. He also studied art and design and specialized in bird and wildlife as an artist. Bob had worked at John Deere Horicon Works; he was a member of IAM Local 873 in Horicon and served as Vice President, as well as, chairman of several committees. Bob was also very active in scouting for 35 years, 25 of those years in Horicon, and was known as Mr. Bob. He was a Scout Master, Assistant Scout Master, and a member of the Order of the Arrow Brotherhood. He was also privileged to receive the highest award given to a Scout Master, an award that is only given to those who do not actively seek it; Bob received the Silver Beaver Award for his hard work, self sacrifice, dedication, and many years of service; Bob was a member of St. Bernard''s Catholic Church in Watertown.

Survivors include his children, Martha Goodman, Michael Zuelsdorf, Gayle Goodman, Kathy (Dan) Shea, Janet (Ken) Buresh, Susan Siravo, Lisa (Dan) Porten, Timothy (Jackie) Zuelsdorf, Donavan (Becky) Zuelsdorf, and Anne Christian; his grandchildren, Kevin, Amy, Jennie, Jessica, Adam, Erin, Sara, Derek, Beth, Vincent, Trevor, Brandie, Greg, Timmie, Lisa, Carly, Matthew, Geddy, Lucas, and Brady; his great grandchildren, Caleb, Nolan, Gavin, Hannah, Autumn, Blake, Cecilia, Joseph, Gregory, and Cassie; his brothers, Roland (Lila) Zuelsdorf, Bill Zuelsdorf, and Jim (Sally) Zuelsdorf; a special friend, Dorothy Freeman; other relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Daniel Zuelsdorf; and his granddaughter, Elizabeth Zuelsdorf.

If desired, memorials may be made in Robert L. Zuelsdorf''s name to the Rainbow Hospice or Angels Grace Hospice.
