Bobby (Roberta) Adler, 88, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on June 25, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, Bobby lived a vibrant, full life that touched the hearts of everyone she met.
She attended the University of Miami before making her home in Long Beach, New York, where she raised her three children. In 1979, she moved to Florida and began a new chapter filled with family, sunny days at the beach, and a well-earned glass of red wine. Bobby worked tirelessly until the age of 79-a true testament to her strength, independence, and determination.
Known for her love of the color purple, Bobby wore it daily as a reflection of her bold spirit and individuality. She was truly the life of the party-her warmth, quick wit, and love of people drew others in. Whether spending a day by the ocean, savoring her favorite wine, or striking up conversations with strangers, Bobby embodied joy and connection.
She is survived by her son, Darryl Adler; her daughter, Stacy Adler Anselmo; her son-in-law, Ralph Anselmo; and her four beloved grandchildren, Alexia, Amaya, Darryl, and Derek. She was preceded in death by her son, Todd Adler, and her parents, Ruth and Jimmy Goldberg.
"Wear a little purple.
Drink some red.
Remember the fun Bobby spread."
A celebration of Bobby's life will be held on Saturday, September 13, at 4:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor a woman who always saw her glass half full.
