Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wiley Funeral Home - Granbury on Jul. 16, 2022.
Roberta Dixon went home to be with her Savior on July 11, 2022 at the age of 93.
Roberta was born July 31, 1928, in Brownwood, Texas. She was the daughter of Charlie and Myra Early. Roberta married in 1945 to the love of her life, Joseph Dixon. They would have celebrated their 72 anniversary one month after his death in 2018. She will be sadly missed by her sister La Verne Gatton, daughter Marney Rattray, sons, Michael (Nancy) Dixon, Dennis (Donna) Dixon and by all of Granbury. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Matthew (Karen) Dixon of Spring Hill, Tennessee, Melissa (James) Bagley of Conroe, Texas, Kasey (Brian) Delaney of Galesburg, Michigan; by 8 great-grandchildren, Rachel and Sarah Dixon, Caleb and Charity Bagley, Autumn, April and Summer Delaney, Nicholas Dixon whom she and our father Joseph raised, as well as Carlene Livingston of Utah whom they considered to be their bonus daughter.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Dixon; her brother, Charles; and by her sisters, Dorothy and Nell.
Visitation will begin at 1 P.M., on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at the Wiley Funeral Home, 400 Highway 377 East in Granbury. A memorial service celebrating her life will follow at 2 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home. Roberta will be buried at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas next to her beloved husband, Joseph.

Every time I spent time with Roberta she made my life better and happier. Her love of family was inspiring. Her kindness to others was from a pure heart. I loved her, admired her and appreciated her. God bless the family to fill their hearts with the good
memories to wash out the sorrow.
