1931-2025

Princeton, MO: Roberta "Joyce" Franklin, 93, Princeton, MO passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at a Princeton, MO nursing home.

She was born on August 26, 1931, in Fullerton, California the daughter of Parvin and Lena (Coon) Woodward.

On June 16, 1950, she married Bill Franklin in Princeton, MO. He preceded her in death on November 14, 2017.

Joyce was a graduate of Princeton High School in 1949. She was a St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and loved family dinners. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Princeton.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dick Franklin; grandson, Russell Franklin; great grandson, Ethan Franklin; and four sisters.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Ruthie Holt, Princeton, MO; son, Bob Franklin, Princeton, MO; daughter-in-law, Pat Franklin; brothers, Ray (Judy) Woodward, Princeton, MO and Ed (Dorothy) Woodward, Faucett, MO; seven grandchildren, Aaron Franklin, Rachel Franklin, Amy (Charlie) Davison, Will Holt, Cody (Jessica) Holt, Jenna (Scott) Tatum, Becca (Nathan) Evans; great grandchildren, Solomon, Ruby, Clay, Chase, Baylor, Jasmine, Wade, Gavin, Owen, Brycen, Christian, Jameson, Kole, Hunter, Skylar, Brayden, and Madisyn; great-great grandchild, Colter; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 16 at the First Baptist Church, Princeton, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Princeton, MO. Burial will follow in Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, MO. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Princeton in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 316, Princeton, MO 64673. Online condolences may be left at www.robersonfuneralhome.com.
