Roberta Harding Obituary
Roberta was born on March 4, 1929 in Des Moines to James and Hilma (Kipping) Mills. She attended school at Norwalk and Van Meter and graduated from Altoona High School in 1946.
She attended Drake University (1946-1948) and the University of Iowa (1949-1951) where she graduated with a BA in Elementary Education. She taught at Henry Sabin Elementary School in Iowa City from 1951-1954. Roberta founded the Panda Bear Preschool in Eagle Grove where she taught from 1972-1986.
She married Dale A. Harding in 1948. The couple were divorced in 1986 and she moved to Iowa City. She married Oscar W. Scheetz in 1990 and they remained married until his death in 2011.
Roberta is survived by her children: Jay (Maureen) Harding, Randall (Jerri) Harding, David (Patti) Harding, Doni Harding and Angie Harding; grandchildren: Gage Harding, Andrew Harding, Becky Harding and Leo Ueno; brother, Jerry Mills; nephew, Brett (Shawnee) Mills and her niece, Heather (David) Reed.
Private family graveside services will be held and memorials may be made in Roberta's name to a charity or organization of the donor's choice.

I have such wonderful memories of the entire Harding family from growing up in Eagle Grove as they were all very active in music and drama as was I. Roberta was a gem of gems. I know my mother Betty Myers and she kept in touch over the years even after they both moved out of Eagle Grove My condolences to your entire family.
