ANDOVER-Roberta Jean Hill, age 100, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
Born January 25, 1925, in Andover, OH, she was a daughter of the late Robert J. and Zella Viola (Mead) Vickery.
A resident of Andover all her life, Roberta was a 1943 Graduate of the former Andover High School and married her beloved husband, Duane Cole Hill, on June 1, 1947.
Later in life, she worked as the head teller at Peoples Savings and Loan for 12 years before retiring in 1982. A member of Andover First United Methodist Church, Roberta sang in the choir for many years. In her spare time, she found joy in playing golf, reading, tending to her gardens, sewing and playing bridge.
Roberta is survived by her three children, Duane C. (Sally) Hill Jr, Nola J. (Matthew) Yovich, and David A. (Dawn) Hill; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane C. Hill; grandson, Alvin Hill: brothers, Ralph and Robert Vickery and two sisters, Marian Jenkins and Wilda Peterson.
A private graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Andover United Methodist Church, PO Box 207, Andover, OH 44003.
