Roberta was a fierce advocate for civil rights and she fought against injustice for all oppressed people. She marched for civil rights in the sixties and stood boldly for justice and fairness in this society her whole life. Roberta lived life on her own terms, traveling and exploring different cultures and societies. She particularly liked to talk about her trip to Papua New Guinea and the people she met in this area of the world.

We have been privileged as her family to know someone whose vision of life always encompassed people from all cultures and whose expression of joy included making the people around her feel comfortable and accepted. Roberta was a genuinely good person who lived life to the fullest and encouraged all around her to live their very best life.
Roberta explored Buddhism, and Tai-Chi and remained open minded about her understanding of the world.
