Roberta McCormick

Roberta Ellen McCormick, 89, of Maysville, KY, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at the Pioneer Trace Nursing Home in Flemingsburg, KY.

Bertie was born on July 26, 1936, in Morehead, KY, to the late Claude McCormick and the late Frances Lillian Hughes McCormick. In her working years she was employed the U.S. Shoe Factory, the Cotton Mill, Copland in West Union, OH, the 4th St. Tavern, the Aberdeen Restaurant, as well as retiring after 10 years as a cook for the Ohio River Barge Line. Roberta was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Eagles.

Survivors include her children Laura Haggard Kabler of Dover, KY, David (Ann) Haggard of Maysville, KY, Richard Thomas Haggard of Maysville, KY; grandchildren Angie Planck (Jason) Smoot of Carlisle, KY, Lalah Haggard Brewer of Lexington, KY, Amber Planck Arthur, and Shelby Ellen Haggard both of Maysville, KY; great grandchildren Skylar (Ethan) Smoot Boday, Josie Smoot, Jakeb Conn (Alisia), Kaleb Arthur, Bryson Arthur, Aubrey Arthur, Brayleigh Reed, Brentley Reed, and Adley Jo Coleman.

In addition to her parents Roberta was preceded in death by her son Robert Keith "Bub" Haggard; brothers Raymond, Ronnie, and William McCormick, Buford Hughes; sister Mary Richmond.

Services for Roberta McCormick will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026, at Brell & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Gerald Foister officiating. Burial will follow in the Goddard Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until the time of the services.
