Roberta Louise Mullin, age 86, of Mystic, passed away Monday, July 1, 2024 at her home.
Roberta was born on December 28, 1937 in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Helen (Randolph) Clark, and a twin to her sister, Rowena. She attended Centerville Schools. On December 18, 1955, Roberta was united in marriage to Ray Mullin.
In her younger years, she worked for McGraw-Edison and Golden Age Care Center. When her children were growing up, she took great pride in taking care of them as a stay-at-home mom. In her free time, Roberta enjoyed going to flea markets, auctions and garage sales. She was also fond of baking and decorating cakes for others. Moreover, she loved her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids.
Left to cherish Roberta's memory are her children, Marsha (Barry) Wells, Chuck (Teresa) Mullin, David Mullin, Marie (John) Faoro, Kelly (Kelly) Wilson, Danny (Billie Buban) Mullin, and Kristy (Justin) Bailey; her twin sister, Rowena Spurgeon; 22 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; as well as several extended family members.
Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Mullin in 1994; her parents, Robert and Helen Clark; her in-laws, Vester and Marie Mullin; an infant brother; and her grandson, Josh Mullin.
Per Roberta's wishes, cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Haines Cemetery, north of Centerville with Larry Bettis officiating. Memorials may be made to Furever Friends of Appanoose, Inc. and mailed to Thomas Funeral Home, ATTN: Mullin Family, 501 North 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
