Her passion for children shone through her dedicated service in the church nursery, as well as serving more than two decades as the Awana Cubbie director.
Beyond her church life, Roberta was an active participant in her community. She faithfully supported her husband's hobby of raising pigeons and was a member of the Southeast Iowa Pigeon Club. She spent many years cooking and serving food at the Buy, Sell, and Trade concession stand.
She supported her children and grandchildren by attending numerous sporting and musical events, as well as traveling to Asia.
She loved baking, especially pies, Christmas cookies, and angel food cakes. She also loved flowers and enjoyed being a member of the Danville Gardening Club.

Roberta and I both taught special needs students in the different grade levels. Roberta would do anything to get students motivated to pass their classes. She was a very special teacher and was misses very much once she retired. She would do anything to get students to pass their classes.
