On November 13, 2025, Roberta “Pickles” Tapiz passed away at home surrounded by her family. She was 69.
Roberta was born on December 17, 1955, in Watsonville, California to her parents, Joseph and Isabel Tapiz.
Roberta was a dedicated and loving grandmother to Leelu, Logan and Nova. She worked at Mintie White Elementary for 30 years. She loved sports and enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Dodgers and Golden State Warriors. She was a lifelong resident of Watsonville.
Roberta is survived by her children, Zachary, Ashley, Arthur "Joe" and Hans, her mother, Isabel, her siblings, Rudy, Ruben, Mario, Fernando, Adrian and Monica Espiritu, and her 5 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, William, her siblings, Joey, Larry, Tony, Louie, Christina and Teresa and her father, Joseph.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel.
