Roberta Anne Taylor, born on January 10, 1968, in Houston, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on February 10, 2026, in Columbus, Texas. She was a dedicated and loving mother, whose outgoing and fun personality touched the lives of many. Roberta worked in food service, where her hard work and commitment shone through in all her endeavors.
Throughout her life, Roberta took great pride in her family. She was a devoted mother to her three sons, Robert Mark Taylor, Troy Magisduke and Evan Cantrell, Jr. (Vanessa), all of La Grange. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren—Jordan Taylor, Caidyn Anderson, Delilah Mangis, Hazelmarie Mangis, and Evan Joseph Cantrell, III. Additionally, she cherished her great-grandchild, Ivan Anderson, and was beloved by her nieces, Gina and Candyce Duke.
Roberta was known affectionately as "Nana" and took immense pride in her children and grandchildren, which stood as her proudest accomplishments. Outside of her family life, she had a passion for art and crafts, a testament to her creative spirit.
She is preceded in death by her parents Billy Duke and Clotis (White) Duke, her husband Bob Taylor, grandson Blayne Anthony Wayne Mangis, and siblings, brother Tommy Duke and sister Diana Duke. Roberta leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience that will continue to inspire her family and friends in the years to come.
