Roberta Tomes Obituary
Born on April 8, 1940, to Fred and Dorothy Totman, Roberta lived a life centered around faith, family, and kindness.
She married her devoted husband, Harold Tomes, in 1958, and together they shared 66 wonderful years of marriage. Roberta and Harold loved taking short trips together, often visiting Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and Shipshewana, Indiana-places filled with fond memories and simple joys.
Roberta was known for her incredible cooking, especially her homemade noodles and her famous potato salad made with her special dressing. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, where she shared meals, laughter, and love with her family.
Family meant everything to Roberta. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always offering support, wisdom, and unconditional love. Her legacy of warmth and dedication will live on through those she loved.
Roberta was a lifelong member of the First Church of God in Mount Vernon and lived her faith with quiet strength and grace.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Harold; her son Glen (Mary) Tomes; grandchildren Derek (Angela) Tomes, Darren (Crystal) Tomes, Cassie (John) Millburn, and Andrew Hawkins; her sister Dolores Thompson; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her twin brother, Ron Totman.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Liberty Chapel Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Ohio (43050).

So sorry to hear of the passing of Roberta. She kept me in fashionable clothes when we were growing up. She always gave so willingly and helped me in many ways. Blessed be Roberta for she was a good and kind woman. Love You .....Linda
