Roberta Wallace Obituary
Gayle worked with her husband, Brad as a delivery driver to the route carriers for the Southern Illinoisan papers. She was also a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Gayle attended a Baptist Church in Ziegler with her husband, Brad before becoming a member of the Lone Oak Baptist Church in Energy, IL.
She was born on March 7, 1948 in Herrin, IL to Robert Eugene and Mary Jane (Ridings) Rash.
Gayle was united in marriage with Charles Cagle and they had two children; Trevor who preceded her in death and Christopher Cagle who survives her. Later, she was united in marriage with Brad Wallace. He preceded her in death.
Gayle is survived by her son, Christopher & Jackie Cagle of Herrin, IL; one grandson, Mikey Cagle of Herrin, IL; her brother, Michael Rash of Herrin, IL and special friends and cousins, Lovana Johnson of Carterville, IL, Kathie Ridings DeNosky of Ferges, IL and her aunt, Suzie Rash Tanner of Herrin, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Brad Wallace and her son, Trevor Cagle.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2026 at Herrin City Cemetery in Herrin, IL with Rev. Bruce Peffer officiating.
