Roberto Luis "Bob" Chavez

Roberto "Bob" Luis Chavez, 74, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025, comforted by his family.
Born on January 2, 1951, in El Paso, Texas, Bob was raised to be devoted to the Lord by his loving parents Ella and Roberto Chavez alongside his brothers, Daniel and George, and his sister, Dolly. A bright student and all-around athlete with a quiet determination, he earned a scholarship to the University of Miami, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in biological sciences.
Bob went on to build a distinguished career in the horticulture industry, where he was respected not only for his expertise but also for his integrity and kindness. He had a deep appreciation for nature and was passionate about his work, leaving a lasting impact on those who had the privilege to know and work with him.
Outside of his career, Bob was a devoted husband, loving father, caring brother, and cherished uncle. He found joy in life's simple pleasures-watching his favorite sports teams, savoring a good meal, and, most of all, spending time with his family. His peaceful and kind soul comforted those who knew him.
Bob is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia; his loving children, Rachel and Matthew; and his siblings Daniel, George, and Dolly, along with many nieces and nephews. His memory will forever live on in their hearts.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held to honor Bob's life on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Spanish River Church (East Chapel), 2350 Yamato Rd., Boca Raton, FL 33431. The family would be happy to see everyone in colorful attire to celebrate Bob's life.
