In Loving Memory of Robin Bradley Bouse
February 14, 1954 – February 1, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robin Bradley Bouse, affectionately known as "Bone" or "Rubin," who passed away on February 1, 2025, at the age of 70. A lifelong resident of Clawson, Robin was a man of unwavering dedication-to his family, his community, and his calling as a firefighter.
Born on Valentine's Day in 1954 in Highland Park, Michigan, to Robert and Barbara Bouse, Robin grew up with a strong sense of duty and love, values he carried throughout his life. A proud graduate of Clawson High School's Class of 1972, he found his true passion in serving his community. Robin dedicated 29 years to the Clawson Fire Department, rising to the rank of Captain before retiring in October, 2007. His bravery, leadership, and selflessness left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Beyond his years of service, Robin worked in the maintenance department at Somerset for 14 years, but his greatest joy came from the time spent with his family. He adored his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment with them. His love extended to his four-legged companions-Pepper, Twinkie, Cheetah, Freckles, and his cat, Gizmo.
Robin had a deep love for his hometown traditions, especially the Fourth of July in Clawson. He looked forward to the water battle, the fireworks, and of course, Sherlie's famous cupcakes. His enthusiasm and love for life were infectious, leaving an unforgettable mark on those who knew him. He also had a great love for NASCAR.
He is survived by his loving children, Kristi Lane, Mary Williams, and Allison Bouse; his cherished grandchildren, Gary (Rachel) Lane, Sheldon (Kelsey Ramsey) Williams, Devin Lane, Lexton Williams, and Kara Aranyos; and his adored great-grandchildren, Addilynn, Ariana, and Brooklyn. Robin is also survived by his siblings, Kraig (Joann), Patricia (Sandy), and Jon, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Visitation will be held at Gramer Funeral Home, 705 North Main St., Clawson, MI 48017 on Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 2 pm until 8 pm.
A Last Alarm Bell Ceremony, Firefighter Memorial Honors will take place at 6 pm Thursday.
A Celebration of Robin's life will be held Friday, February 7, 2025 at 11 am at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Goodfellows, an organization close to Robin's heart.
Robin Bouse lived a life of service, love, and devotion. His legacy will live on in the memories of those he touched, and his spirit will forever remain in the heart of the Clawson community. Rest easy, Captain-your watch is over.
