Robin Lincoln Eldredge

WESTERLY - Robin (Rob) Lincoln Eldredge, 72, of Westerly, Rhode Island, passed away unexpectedly on January 31, 2026. He was the loving husband of Diana L. Rathbun. Born in New London, Connecticut on October 10, 1953, he was the son of Charles Gilbert Eldredge and Ruth Millicent Lowe.

Rob graduated from Old Lyme High School in Old Lyme, CT with the class of 1972 where he was known as the bird by his many friends. He spent the majority of his career as a First Class Machinist for Electric Boat in Groton, CT, followed by a secondary career as a Pest Control Technician for Griggs and Browne before his retirement. Post-retirement, he spent nearly a decade as a proud Volunteer at Westerly Hospital. Outside his many years of hard work, he had a love for life. He enjoyed traveling and camping trips; bird watching; listening to all genres of music; playing music, particularly the Alto Saxophone, which he played in his earlier years; grilling burgers in the summer and relaxing with his dogs and family in the pool. If you were swimming nearby, you would definitely expect him to cannonball you. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching old war movies. Most of all he loved his family and pets.

Besides his wife, he leaves behind his four children and their spouses, Dwayne Eldredge, 49, of Norwich, CT and his fiance, Kathryn McDonough; Michael Eldredge, 47, of Pensacola, Florida; Melissa Maybury, 45, of Northford, CT and her husband, Jeffrey Maybury; and Sabrina Corella, 43, of Prospect, CT and her husband, Jeffrey Corella. He also leaves behind many grandchildren and step-grandchildren; Oscar, Madison, Logan, Myla, Vincent (Vinny) and Addie.

He was a very proud dad and grandfather and will always be remembered for his kindness, love and wicked sense of humor. He was always cracking a joke to make everyone smile.

He was a brave head and neck cancer survivor and supporter of the American Cancer Society. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his name to the organization.

Calling hours will be on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main Street, Westerly, RI 02891 followed by a private burial for family members only.
