Calvin B. Eldredge

Calvin Burleigh Eldredge, 96, a lifelong resident of Harwich, MA, passed away on January 5, 2026. He was a loving husband to Barbara (Emery) for 60 fun filled years until her passing in 2015.

Calvin grew up in Pleasant Lake where he enjoyed all the simple pleasures of a small-town community. He was very proud to be a 4th generation cranberry grower. His fondest memories were working side by side with the wonderful people he considered friends.

Calvin attended Bristol Agricultural School, where he developed a love of all thing's nature. After school he traveled to Florida with a friend, but missed the Cape, family and friends.

He joined the Marines in 1950, serving his country with honor before returning home from Korea and duty at the Boston Naval Shipyard. After returning from his military service, Calvin sought a new direction and, utilizing the GI Bill, attended barber school. This period marked the beginning of a fulfilling career that blended his knack for making others feel welcome and great shoulder massages.

Cal was the proud father of a son Barry Eldredge and a daughter Lori Eldredge Clancy, both from Harwich. A very loving grandfather to Mattthew Clancy, and wife Rachel, Katelyn Powell, and husband Billy, and Jeff Clancy and wife Jennifer. He was especially proud of his great grandchildren Mackari, Rory, Piper, Makai, and Silas.

Cals family would like to thank the VA for their tremendous support over the years. Most recently the VNA for the support in his time of need.

It will be announced that a celebration of Calvin's life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared with family and friends when arrangements are finalized. Please check with the family for updates regarding the service.
