COLCHESTER - Robin Espeleta, 51, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023 in Hartford. She was born in Norwich, Connecticut on June 20, 1971, the daughter Gloria (Cheverette) Espeleta and the late John J. Espeleta.
In addition to her mom she is survived by her son John Ciprian Deojay ; four brothers, Mark Espeleta and his wife Valerie, Scott Espeleta and his wife Darlene, Todd Espeleta and his wife Kristina, and Shane Espeleta and his wife Valerie; and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is Robin's special friend Gary Blanchard who assisted with the management of Robin's health in recent months.
Robin was a graduate of Emerson College in Boston where she earned her Master's Degree in business marketing. She had a successful marketing career in Boston working for several Big Named designers.
She was an avid Red Sox fan and while living in Boston, Robin and her "sister from another mister" Theresa Woyasz, watched the Red Sox become the first (and to date only) team in MLB history to come back from a 0–3 series deficit to win a best-of-seven series against the NY Yankees!!
Her greatest accomplishment and pride and joy came in July of 2012 when she delivered her son John Ciprian Deojay with then fiance Paul Deojay.
Despite any hard times that Robin may have experienced in recent years her greatest love of all was always her son John. Robin will always be remembered for her love for music like Phish, Bob Marley and Van Halen. She had an incredible voice and could sing like an angel. Robin will always be remembered for her vibrant personality her love of nature and her big beautiful smile.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, 24 May 2023 at 11 AM at Saint James Church, 12 Franklin St, Danielson, CT. A Celebration of Life will take place directly after, at Wright's Mill Tree Farm, 65 Creasey Road, Canterbury, CT 06331. All are welcome to attend.
