Robin Johnson Obituary
Ms. Johnson, 62, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Willis Knighton Medical Center, Shreveport, LA.
Robin Ellen, a small-town girl who grew up in a small Indiana town; it was church on Sunday, cornbread and beans, and fried-chicken dinners. She never lost the simple mentality of life. She had the patiences of Job, cared deeply, was always ready to listen, and never rejected advice or opinions. She met any disagreement with a calm respect, knowing all was given from a place of love. Robin had this remarkable gift of speaking without many words, but said so much, a unique asset! Robin's children and grandchildren were her greatest treasures. She loved BIG; she believed she had the best family, and her family knows without a doubt that we had the best! Robin yearned for a better life for herself and for all who loved her. Her declining health led to decisions that no one could foresee the results of. Today she is in Glory with her Maker and would say to all of us, "No matter how dark the valley of grief may feel, the light of eternity still shines ahead. See you in eternity."
She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Tidd; and one sister, Pennie Kay Cummings.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include one son, Jason Moore (Kimberly) of Pitkin; one daughter, Kristi Goleman (Kevin) of Pitkin; her mother, Jeanette Tidd of Hymera, Indiana; one brother, Jason Francis (Kim); three sisters, Tammy Tant, Cheri Swalls (Jeff), and Kathy Sue Francis; four grandsons, Deaven, Blake, Brad, and Brently; five granddaughters, Anna, Sadie, Abrie, Macie, and Zoe; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 12:00 noon until time of service.
