Beverly Rider Hale

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Beverly Rider Hale will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oakdale, with Father Vijaya Peddoju officiating. Interment will follow in Deshotel Cemetery, Oakdale, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mrs. Hale, 84, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Friday, January 10, 2026, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center, Lafayette, LA.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid gardener and found tremendous joy tending to her plants. She loved sewing, crocheting, coloring books, and painting. Her greatest joy was found in the time spent with her family, whom she loved above all else. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Nathan Rider, Sr.; her second husband, Charles Hale; her parents, Amson Joseph and Ella Deshotel; and one sister, Linda Monceaux.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include two sons, Phil Rider (Karla) of Natchitoches, and Danny Rider (Shawn) of Memphis, Tennessee; two daughters, Nadine Rider Anderson (David) of Lake Charles, and Angie Rider Hill (Craig) of Dry Creek; three sisters, Dee Konstanzer (Dave) of Sulphur, Debbie Scott of Moss Bluff, and Jackie Welch (Brian) of Oakdale; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-nine great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. until time of departure to the church.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Tanner Rider, Jessen Doyle, Maddox Thompson, Gavin Thompson, Brent Monceaux, and Blake Carrier.
