Robin Ray Johnson

Robin Johnson, 54, passed away on Tuesday, February 24th, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Robin was born on January 10, 1972, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Ann Widener Ray and the late Charles Ralph Ray. She grew up in Newnan, Georgia, where she built lifelong friendships and deep roots in the community she loved.

Robin graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2001 from Griffin Technical College. She dedicated her life to caring for others, serving faithfully in the Emergency Room at Piedmont Newnan Hospital for 17 years. She later continued her compassionate work in hospice care for two years, offering comfort and dignity to patients and their families during life's most tender moments. Nursing was not just her profession-it was her calling.

Above all, Robin was a devoted and wonderful mother to her three children and a proud grandmother to five grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life. She cherished her family deeply and created a home filled with love, laughter, and music.

Robin had a passion for reading and found peace in the pages of a good book. She also loved music and enjoyed playing both the piano and drums, filling her home with melody and rhythm. Her warmth, strength, and generous spirit touched everyone who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 7th, at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, Newnan, Georgia. The family will receive friends and loved ones beginning at 9:30 a.m., with the memorial service starting at 11:00 a.m. For those unable to attend, the service will be webcast.

Robin's legacy of compassion, strength, and unwavering love for her family will live on in all who were blessed to know her.

She was preceded in death by her brother Charles Scott Ray and father, Charles Ralph Ray.

She is survived by her loving mother, Ann Ray; her husband, Samuel Craig Johnson; her children, Benjamin Johnson and wife Courtney Johnson; Troy Johnson; Britney Johnson; her grandsons, Christopher Olivent, Vincent Johnson, Gabriel Johnson, and Liam Johnson; her granddaughter, Freya Johnson; and Rosemary Irby.
