Robin L. Looney, 67, of Williamsville, MO, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023, at his residence. Robin was born August 24, 1956, in St. Louis, MO, to parents RC and Adena Louise (Meridith) Looney.
Robin was raised in Arnold, MO, where he attended and graduated from Fox High School. In his neighborhood he met the love of his life, Marilyn Wells who was his neighbor. They were married July 12, 1975, and made a wonderful life together raising their two children. Marilyn passed away November 21, 2009. Robin had worked in the plastic injection industry working mainly as an injection mold maintainer. He spent nearly forty years working in Poplar Bluff with MoArk Mold, Technical Plastics and lastly Revere Plastics, retiring in August 2022. He was a quiet man with great wit, who could tell a joke, and enjoyed pranking fellow coworkers, including Everett Meese.
He was a constant supporter of his grandchildren by attending baseball, softball, basketball and volleyball games. He also enjoyed rodeos and Riley's smoked meat, that he thought might have been a little too hot for his tastes. He was also known for those taco bell runs with Makenzie and Makayla and of course there was his younger than normal grandchildren's drivers ed classes. In his spare time he also enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a Christian man and had previously attended Camp Eight General Baptist Church near Greenville.
He is survived by his children: son, Matthew Looney and wife Tara of Lodi, MO, and daughter Lori Hill and husband Justin of Greenville; his loving grandchildren: Riley Looney, Matti Looney, Kenli Looney, Lane Looney, Makenzie Hill, Makayla Hill and Austin Hill.
He was proceeded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Williamsville, MO. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm, also at Williamsville chapel. Burial will follow at Holliday Cemetery, Williamsville, MO. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or American Cancer Society.
