Robin Denise Nourse suddenly passed away on March 7, 2025, in Wilmington, North
Carolina.
Robin was born on April 13, 1954, in Brooklyn, New York. She was the only daughter of Ronald Nourse and Dorothy (McClendon) Nourse.
Robin attended Catholic School and then graduated in 1972 from Martin Van Buren High School. She went on to further her education at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY graduating in 1976 with honors earning her degree in Chemical Engineering. After graduating, Robin moved to San Jose, California where she pursued a career in Chemical Engineering at General Electric. In 1995 Robin moved to Wilmington, NC while still working for GE where she worked until her retirement of 35 years.
Outside of her professional life, Robin was known for her dedication to volunteering at Thalian Hall Center for The Performing Arts for many years and she loved going to as many performances as possible. She had a passion for reading, particularly mysteries, and enjoyed playing games like Scrabble and Sudoku. Robin was also a talented cook who loved trying new recipes and watching basketball games. She was a voracious news watcher always staying informed about current events and politics.
Left to cherish Robin's memory is her long-time life partner Locksley Hampton, her cousins Janine and LaToya Lewis, a host of other relatives, her adopted family and friends who she loved dearly!

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 22, 2025 1pm-3pm at St. Andrew's On-the-Sound Episcopal Church, 101 Airlie Road, Wilmington, NC.
