Robin Shealy Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Aug. 29, 2025.

Robin Shealy, 56, of Hartsville, SC, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, after a courageous 11-year battle with breast cancer. She faced the disease four different times, defeating it three, and through it all showed remarkable strength, grace, and faith. Her devoted husband, George Shealy, never left her side and held her hand until the very end.

Robin Shealy born on August 29, 1968, to Dwight McCollum and the late Maxine McCollum. On August 27, 1993, she married the love of her life, George Shealy at Calvary Baptist Church, the same church where her life will now be honored and remembered, and where she will be laid to rest. For 32 years, their marriage was a true testament of love, partnership, and unshakable devotion.

Robin is survived by her husband, George Shealy; her son, Shane Shealy, and his wife Brandy Shealy, her daughter Casey Shealy; and her six precious grandchildren, Parker Wilson, Chase Shealy, Grayson Shealy, Liam Shealy, Charlie Robinson, and McKenzie Robinson. She is also survived by her father, Dwight McCollum; her siblings, Cassandra Gatlin and Matthew McCollum; her aunts, Leslie McCollum, Shirley Bolin, and Mary Carter; her cousin, Sam McCollum; and a host of extended family and friends. She was welcomed into Heaven by her mother, Maxine McCollum, and her sister, Olivia Mason.

To her grandchildren and to many others, Robin was affectionately known as "Nana Deeze." She adored her role as a grandmother, and her love for them knew no bounds. Robin had a way of making everyone feel like family, she never met a stranger, and even on her hardest days, she would ask how you were and offer a helping hand. She could be sick herself and still worry more about others.

Robin's life was filled with joy in the little things she loved: listening to music, enjoying the color yellow, admiring lighthouses, walking along the beach, and cheering for her beloved Clemson Tigers. But above all, Robin loved her family. She never missed a chance to be there. Whether for family vacations, baseball games, or band events. Family was always her number one priority, and she gave them every bit of her heart.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary, with burial in the church cemetery.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to all who walked alongside Robin during her journey with love, prayers, and support. Her legacy of strength, kindness, and unconditional love will continue to live on in her husband, children, grandchildren, and all whose lives she touched.
