Robin VanHook Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Central Florida Casket Store and Funeral Chapel on Jan. 21, 2026.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robin Elise VanHook, who departed this world on January 19, 2026, in her beloved Clearwater, Florida, where she was born and raised. Robin's life spanned 61 beautiful years, marked by love, compassion, and a deep dedication to those around her.

Born on October 12, 1964, Robin was the cherished daughter of Stephen and Loretta Chappell. She brought joy and warmth to all who knew her, with an infectious spirit that seemed to brighten even the darkest days. Her father, Stephen Chappell, preceded her in death, leaving behind a legacy of love which Robin carried throughout her life.

Robin is survived by her devoted mother, Loretta Chappell, her brother, Dwight Chappell, along with his wife, Karen, and her two beloved nephews, Brantley and Evan. The bonds of family were incredibly important to Robin, and she treasured each moment spent with them.

A passionate animal lover, Robin was a devoted mom to her two dogs, a cat, and an enthusiastic caretaker of four chickens. Her love for animals mirrored her immense capacity for kindness and affection, making her a cherished friend to many furry companions and their owners alike.

Professionally, Robin made her mark as a staff accountant for the Florida Orchestra, where her dedication and meticulous work contributed to the vibrant cultural tapestry of her community. She brought her organizational skills and passion for the arts into her role, embodying the harmony between numbers and music.

Robin's life was a tapestry woven with her interests and hobbies. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and took great delight in nurturing her pets and watching them thrive. Her love for animals was a defining trait, exemplifying her nurturing spirit and compassion.

Though she is no longer with us in body, Robin Elise VanHook will forever remain in our hearts, a guiding light of love and kindness that will never be extinguished. Her spirit lives on through the memories she created and the love she gave so freely. Rest peacefully, dear Robin. You will be dearly missed.
