Robyn Marie Funderburke, age 54, of Forest City, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023 at her residence.
Robyn was born Tuesday, April 15, 1969 in Rutherford County to Scottie Funderburke and Marie Dale Funderburke who reside in Forest City. Robyn was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She loved spending time with her kids, and her grandson Miles. She also loved cooking and going to the beach. Robyn was a goodhearted person and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
Robyn was preceded in death by a sister, Tamara Funderburke and grandparents William and Carrie Funderburke and Cleatus and Inez Dale.
In addition to her parents, Scottie and Marie, those left to cherish fond memories include her children, Staci Funderburke, Dylan Funderburke, Scottie Dalton, Dale Randall; grandson, Miles Dalton; sister, Kelli Funderburke; nephew, Ryan Guffey and nieces Montgomeri Funderburke-Gallion and Gracie Funderburke.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Daniel Selman and Reverend Tonya Garrison officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the time of the service.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Hospice of Cleveland County for their compassionate care and support during Robyn's illness. Special thanks to Cindy Hamby, Robyn's Nurse, who was very caring and supportive for the past three months. Also, thanks to Marie Bell, her Social Worker, and Terry Floyd, her Chaplain. We will always remember their kindness during this difficult time.
