Robyn Ann "Angel" Rodriguez, 52, of Syracuse, New York, passed away on December 6, 2025, in Syracuse, on her birthday.
Robin was born on December 6, 1973, in Manhattan, New York, and grew up in Poughkeepsie, New York, where she formed deep family roots and lifelong connections. Known to many as Angel, she lived life with intensity, warmth, and an open heart, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Angel was a devoted and proud stay-at-home mother, a role she embraced fully and with deep love. Her children were the center of her world, and nurturing them was her greatest purpose. She was known for her generosity, compassion, and her ability to care for others even while carrying her own struggles.
She loved cooking and bringing people together around food, family traditions, and holidays. Her home was her sanctuary - a place she took pride in making beautiful, welcoming, and full of life. Angel lived boldly and celebrated joyfully, especially on her birthday, which she always made a day to remember.
Angel was also a writer and spoken-word poet who used words as a way to express her emotions and process life. She carried a deep spiritual connection and was a proud Wiccan, honoring the Goddess and the sacred feminine, living with reverence for energy, intuition, and the cycles of life.
She is survived by her children, Hakim Simons, Radu Rodriguez, and her daughters, Rayne Colon and Rav'yn Colon; her grandchildren, Gabriela and Zayden, and one additional grandchild whose name will be announced; as well as many extended family members and friends who considered her family.
She was predeceased by her parents, Barbara Olivet and Robert Rodriguez.
Angel will be remembered for her fierce love, resilience, generosity, and the light she brought into the lives of others. Her spirit, her words, and her love will continue to live on through her children, her grandchildren, and all those who were touched by her.
