South Salt Lake City, UT-Rocky died at home after a 30+ year bout with rheumatoid arthritis … it won!
He was born to Beverly T and Clinton B Smith. Rocky often talked about how he enjoyed growing up in Holladay during a time when kids played together outside all day so freely without technology to keep them indoors… and skiing without the crowds… and little league baseball and golf in the summer.
He always enjoyed books and was glad (Kindle) came just as his hands could no longer hold a book! The house was filled with the sounds of hard rock or "the Blues" unless there was a sporting event on TV. Rocky worked at Albertson's for 35 years and also enjoyed a few basketball seasons at the Delta Center working at a food venue.
Rocky is survived by his son Dustan Michael Smith from his marriage to Carrie Satterfield. His parents survive him as well as his sister Holly and Rob Stowe, two nieces, and one nephew… small family! Rocky would encourage you to study the issues and vote- also to have fun! His loud booming laugh and voice are quiet now.

Rocky was one of a kind. We will miss his infectious laugh . I was proud to call him my brother in law. Dustan are sending our love your way. You were a great son to your Dad. Thanks for taking care of him. He will be greatly missed.
