Roderick Budd Obituary
Rick was born on April 1, 1949 at home in Center Village, Ohio to Ted and Laura (Love) Budd. He had been a cook, a potato chip delivery driver, and retired from Olentangy Local Schools in 2020 after 20 years as a school bus driver who was loved by all of his special needs students.
He loved his family and summers around the pool. If he wasn't in the pool he was at Alum Creek on the boat trying to buck his kids and their friends off of the tube to hear their joy. He loved mowing on his John Deere tractor and doing yard work especially if he got to use his front load John Deere and give his kids and then his grandkids a ride in the bucket.
He was preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Laura Budd, his in-laws Normand and Mary St. Marie, and his sister Martha Taynor.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years Clarice; his children, Rachael (Don) Kirkham and Jacob (Sydney) Budd; his grandchildren, Ethan (Vicky) Kirkham and Nikole (Jackson) Nugent; his great grandchild, Valerie Kirkham; his sisters, Janet Lindsey and Donna Portal; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Per Rick's wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no funeral services or memorials.
