Rodney Baker

Pomeroy – Rodney Baker, 69, of Pomeroy, OH, passed peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on August 8, 1956, in Pomeroy, OH, he was the son of the late Walter and Dorothy (Watson) Baker. Rodney was a 1974 graduate of Eastern High School and was a lifelong pipe fitter. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish, enjoyed going to his grandchildren’s activities – especially ball games, and was a huge Ohio State and Ohio University fan.

Rodney is survived by two daughters, Amber (Josh) Ridenour and Krystal (Mike) Angora; four grandchildren, Lakin, Alana, Madyson, and Desmond; two brothers, Mike Baker and David (Jeanne) Baker; sister, Deanna Shepard; special aunt and uncle, Carol and Jim Jett; and a special friend, Jane Baker.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Holden, and sister-in-law, Tammy Baker.

Funeral services will be held at 12pm on Tuesday, March 10, at White Funeral Home in Coolville, OH. Burial will follow in the Chester Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 11am until the time of the service.
