Rodney Kelldorf Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McNutt Funeral Home - Conroe on Jan. 6, 2026.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Rodney "Dale" Kelldorf. Dale passed away on December 27, 2025 in Conroe, Texas. He was a devoted husband, a proud dad, a loving "Pop," and a true friend. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Dale was born on July 1, 1950, in Austin, Texas, to Henry and Hazel Kelldorf. He shared 55 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Sandy. Together, they built a life rooted in love, family, laughter, and countless memories that will be cherished forever.
He was a proud father to Jason Kelldorf (wife April) and Katy Hardy (husband James). Dale absolutely adored being "Pop" to his grandchildren-it was one of his greatest joys, and his grandkids truly meant the world to him. He always showed up for his kids and grandkids through the years. You could often find him at football games, volleyball games, or cow shows supporting his grandkids.
Dale loved the simple things that made him happy-playing and working on his guitars, working on his prized SSRs, spending time on the golf course at Conroe Country Club, enjoying weekly breakfast with some of his best friends, and spoiling his best four legged friend, Buddy. He was as handy as they come and could build or fix anything he put his mind to. He was also quite the chef. His chili was a family favorite!
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Hazel Kelldorf; his brother, Jeff Kelldorf; his sister, Lisa Kelldorf; his brother-in-law, Richard Armor; and his in-laws, Bill and Mary Armor.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy; his children and grandchildren; his brother, David Kelldorf (wife Karen); and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. He was truly one of the good ones.
A memorial service is planned to honor and celebrate Dale at McNutt Funeral Home, located at 1703 Porter Road, Conroe, Texas, on January 12, 2025 at 10:00 am. Friends and family are welcome to attend and share memories of Dale. To send flowers to the family of Rodney, please visit our floral store.
