Rodney Wayne Kilgore

Rodney Wayne Kilgore, 84, of Hernando, MS, passed away peacefully in his home on January 19, 2025.Rodney was born on November 14, 1940, to J.L. Kilgore and Ethel B Kilgore in Hernando, MS. After graduating from Hernando High School, he attended Northwest Mississippi Junior College. He began working for General Electric and remained there for 30 years, until he began to own and operate Kilgores Antiques in 1999. He was a devoted husband to Linda Kilgore for 61 years. In his free time, he was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he loved spending time with his family. Rodney was a jack of all trades and loved woodworking, and anything to keep his hands busy.He leaves behind four children: Phyllis, Christy (Paul), Connie (Kevin), and Kelly (Malinda), seven grandchildren: Jake, Nathaniel, Lauren, Eric, Harrison, Lucy, and a step granddaughter Allyson as well as 6 great-grandchildren: Tobie, Gabe, Lathan, Lilliana and step great grandchildren Granger and Tinley.He is preceded in death by his parents, J.L. Kilgore and Ethel B. Kilgore as well as his beloved wife, Linda Kilgore.
