Rodney Lee Kittell, age 70, a lifelong resident of Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Bellin Hospital. He was born in Green Bay, WI, July 29, 1954, son of the late Roland and Joanne (Hansen) Kittell and was a graduate of Green Bay East High School, Class of 1972.
Rodney enlisted in the US Navy and served his country until his honorable discharge. Rod held various jobs in the Green Bay area, but spent the majority of his career working for Green Bay Packaging, retiring at age 65.
Rodney had a green thumb and loved tending to his garden. He enjoyed listening to music, especially music from the 1960's. Rod was an avid Packer fan and loved to cheer on the green and gold. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his beloved canine companion, Bear.
Rodney is survived by his siblings: Steve Kittell, Mark (Mary) Kittell, Gary (Lenore) Kittell, Carla (Bob) Deterville, Cathy (Randy) Van Drisse, Karen (Jim) Ropson and Tina Kittell and his special friends: Lori, Becky, Brenda and Shane. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held at Newcomer Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 10 AM to 12 NOON.
Rod's family would like to express their gratitude to the many caretakers and friends that supported him through his battle with cancer.
