Rodney Lee Orrell, 55, of Jessieville, Arkansas, passed away on May 1, 2025. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, Rodney touched the lives of many with his quiet strength, kind heart, and deep love for his family.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy Orrell; his parents, Dexter and Billie Orrell; his son, Mikey Vaught; and his cherished grandchildren, Bentley and Amelia, who brought him endless joy. He is also survived by his brother, David Orrell, and sister-in-law, Alice Orrell; his niece, Kristi, and her husband, Joe Bennett; and his nephew, Christian, and his wife, Katie Orrell. Rodney also leaves behind three great-nephews-Collin Mitchell, Dex Orrell, and Kip Orrell-who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clem and Pauline Orrell, and Harvey and Violet Scott, whose guidance and love helped shape his life.
Rodney was a dedicated butcher by trade, known for his work ethic, precision, and pride in his craft. Outside of work, he was a man who found happiness in the simple things-hunting in the woods, fishing on a quiet morning, and collecting an impressive array of miniature race cars.
Above all, Rodney cherished his time with family. Whether he was gathered around the table with loved ones, watching his grandchildren play, or enjoying the peace of the outdoors, those were the moments he held closest. A man of few words, Rodney let his actions speak-always reliable, always present, and always quietly loving.
A celebration of Rodney's life will be held soon, where friends and family will gather to remember the warmth, humility, and steadfast love he shared throughout his life.
