Rodney "Rod" Gene Overdorff, 70, of Spokane, Washington, passed away unexpectedly on January 26, 2026.

Born on June 30, 1955 in Spokane, Washington to Gene and Lavonne Overdorff. Rod attended North Central High School, and later worked as a Loader/Driver at EZ Loader Boat Trailers for 20 years. In 1978 he met his love, Brenda McFarlane; in 1980 they married and had two beautiful boys. His career moved him on to drive for other companies, until finding Safeway Trucking as his home for 22 years. He was aproud member the of Brotherhood of Boilermakers Union for over 20 years and Brotherhood of Teamsters for over 25 years.

Rod will be remembered for His Laughter, smile, dancing (as he would say boogie oogie), and adventurous spirit. He loved snowmobiling, waterskiing, camping, the coast, and the outdoors; but above all, his family. He will truly be missed.

Rod is survived by his wife of 45 years Brenda Overdorff, sons Jason Overdorff of Spokane and Brandon Overdorff of Missoula, Montana, grandson Connor Overdorff, sister Connie Olson and brother Gary Overdorff, six sister in-laws, 22 nieces and nephews, 34 great-nieces and nephews and five great great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by His parents, infant twin daughters Terri and Torri, and sister Kathy.

Funeral/Memorial service will be held Thursday February 19, 2026 at Sunset Chapel in Fairmount Memorial Park 5200 W. Wellesley, Spokane, WA 99205.
