He played baseball at Layton High School and after graduation, he served an honorable mission in Oklahoma for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Later he married Jackie Guinn and together they had four children. They were divorced and years later he married Heidi Barker. Together they had twin sons. They were later divorced.
He graduated from Weber State University and worked at RC Willey, at Hill Air Force Base in Logistics, and was honored for his work. Rod’s health was a challenge throughout his life and he passed away after a long illness and valiant battle.
Rod loved the Lord, served in many callings and capacities in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during his life, and influenced friends and family for good. He was cheerful, optimistic, and always willing to lend a hand or brighten someone’s day with a joke, a tease, or just a smile.

Michael Pearce, (Wendy), of Nibley, UT, Jeffrey L Pearce (Richelle), of Kaysville, UT, and Steven K. Pearce, of Williston, ND.
